What to Do When a Potential Duplicate Client is Detected?
Whether you're working solo or with a team, it can be easy to mistakenly add a duplicate client. That's why Senior Place automatically detects when a client name or best contact name is similar to another client you've already created.
When this happens, the screen will notify you of the potential duplicate. Below we'll discuss what to do when this happens:
1) Determine whether or not it's actually a duplicate
Although our detection feature will let you know when a client name or best contact name is similar to another, sometimes they may not actually be a duplicate (i.e. maybe you have more than one client named John Smith).
To make this determination, you can quickly access the potential duplicate profile by clicking the client name(s) provided. This will take you to that profile, where you can learn whether or not it's the same individual.
2) Delete or Dismiss
After making the determination of whether or not the client is a duplicate, you can take one of the following steps:
Delete
If the client you added is a duplicate, navigate back to that profile and follow these steps to delete it:
- Click Actions
- Choose Delete
Dismiss
If the client you added isn't a duplicate, you can simply dismiss the notification. This will not remove or alter any information you've added to either profile.
