How to Attach a File to an Email

When sending emails out of Senior Place, there may be instances where you want to attach a file. To do so, you'll need to follow these steps:

1) Choose the Upload Location

To assist with File organization, there are a few unique locations for uploading your files. Here's a cheat sheet for knowing which location to use:

1. Files Module - This location is best used for generic documents that may need to be attached to emails to communities, clients, or referral sources. It's also where you want to add documents to be used for SignWise.
2. Community Profile - This location is best used for community-specific files, such as pricing sheets and brochures. It's also the best place to upload signed contracts.
3. Client Profile - This location is best used for client-specific files, such as medical documents and signed client disclosures.
4. Referral Profile - This location is best used for referral-specific files, such as an organization's informational documents.

2) Upload File

Once you've chosen the best location for your file, navigate there, click Upload file, and choose the file you want to upload. See below for how to find each upload location:

Files Module

Click the Files button at the top of your screen.

Community Profile

Navigate to the relevant community profile and click the Files tab.

Client Profile

Navigate to the relevant client profile and click the Files tab.

Referral Profile

Navigate to the relevant referral source profile and click the Files tab.

Click Attach a File

Now that you've uploaded your file, it's time to start an email and attach the file! From within the email builder in Senior Place, look for the Attach a File button. Click that button and choose the file you want to attach.

Note: Only related files will be available to attach. For example, if you're emailing a community, only files added to that community profile and generic files will be available to attach.
