Learn How to Share a Referral Link

Note: This feature is only available to Senior Place Premium customers.

If you have Referral Sources who regularly send you leads, you can save time for both of you by sharing a Referral Link. With their own personal Referral Link, your Referral Contacts be able to share leads, which will automatically get created for you in Senior Place, with the contact/organization automatically marked as the Referral Source. Just follow the steps below to start sharing Referral Links:


1) Create a Hosted Intake Form

Note: Only Adminstrator users have the ability to create/edit Hosted Intake Forms.

To start the process, ensure you've created a Hosted Intake Form designed for your Referral Sources. On Senior Place Premium, you can create multiple Hosted Intake Forms, so if you're already using one, just create another for use with your Referral sources. This tutorial shows how to create/edit Hosted Intake Forms.


2) Navigate to the Referral Contact/Organization you want to send the Referral Link

Within your Referral Module, navigate to the profile of the Contact/Organization you want to send a Referral Link to.


3) Click Actions > Share Referral Link



4) Send (or Copy) Referral Link

At this point, you can either send an email with the Referral Link directly from Senior Place, or you can copy the link to send elsewhere.

  1. Choose the Hosted Intake Form you want to use. In this example, we chose our form named Referral Form. The form you choose will impact the information your contact will need to fill out.
  2. Choose whether you want to send the link directly from Senior via email (Send email with referral link) or copy it to send elsewhere (Copy link to clipboard). If you choose to Copy link to clipboard, you can ignore the following steps and simply send that link via text, email, etc.
  3. Craft your email subject and body. Be sure to include {{link}} in the body. That text will convert into the clickable Referral Link for your contact.
  4. Click Send.

After sharing the Referral Link, your referral contact will be able to use that link time and time again as they share leads with you. The leads they share will automatically show up in Senior Place and will also automatically link the contact as the Referral Source.
