How to Create and Sort an Audience of Senior Place Contacts in Mailchimp

Note: This integration is only available to Senior Place Premium customers, and only Administrator users will have access to this setting.

If you would like to send out a bulk email to Senior Place contacts, you will first need to create your list of contacts, or your audience, in Mailchimp. Here’s how:

1) Connect Your Senior Place Account with Mailchimp

Go here to learn how to connect your Senior Place account with Mailchimp.

2) Navigate to the Integrations > Mailchimp Tab

  1. Click the Settings Cog
  2. Choose Settings
  3. Navigate to the Integrations tab
  4. Click Mailchimp
  5. Click Create Contact List

2) Create Your Contact List

From here, you are able name your client list and select the criteria for the contacts you want to include. This process is very similar to creating a custom report. To learn more about how to build the criteria for your contact list, you can go here.

In this example, we will pull a list of clients assigned to Sarah Cutforth.

  1. Name your list
  2. Select your Record Type
  3. Select your conditions
  4. Click Save

3) Sync Your Contact List to Mailchimp

  1. Review your list to ensure the correct contacts are being included.
Note: The Best Contact and the Client are pulled as individual contacts when running a client contact report. This means that if a report includes two clients who both have Best Contact information in their profiles, your Mailchimp contact list will show four contacts.

2. Click Sync to Mailchimp

  1. Your synchronization status will be shown after the initial sync
Note: Contact lists sync instantly after clicking Sync to Mailchimp or daily.

4) View and Manage Your Contacts in Mailchimp

  1. In your Mailchimp account click Audience.

From here, you will be able to view and manage all of your Mailchimp contacts. If you’d like to learn more about managing your contacts in Mailchimp or sending a bulk email, you can reach out directly to Mailchimp support here.

How to Sort Your Mailchimp Contacts by Senior Place Contact List

  1. After syncing your Senior Place contacts to Mailchimp, you can filter them in Mailchimp using the Tags filter.

  1. You can see which Mailchimp tag corresponds to your Senior Place contact list after clicking Save on your client list criteria.
Note: Once a client contact list is saved, its tag cannot be edited. To create a list with a new Mailchimp tag, you will need to delete your existing list and recreate it with your preferred contact list title.
